WFS (Walmart Fulfillment Services) is Walmart’s core fulfillment program for Walmart.com orders. You send inventory to their warehouses, and they handle picking, packing, shipping, and returns. MCS (Multichannel Solutions) builds on top of WFS, letting you use that same inventory to fulfill orders from other channels like eBay, TikTok Shop, or your online store.
The key differences: WFS uses Walmart-branded packaging and applies standard referral fees, while MCS ships in plain, unbranded packaging and doesn’t charge a commission on non-Walmart orders. Both programs share the same inventory pool.
MCS has its own fee structure, separate from WFS, and competes with other multichannel fulfillment alternatives. Fulfillment fees vary based on item weight and shipping speed. Storage fees follow standard WFS rates with a seasonal increase during peak months.
A key cost advantage: Walmart referral commission doesn’t apply to MCS orders, which means lower fulfillment costs for every external channel you sell on. To learn the exact rates for your SKUs, use the fee preview tool in Walmart Seller Center.
